Right on the border of the Yangtze River and Taihu Lake in China is this giant teapot. It’s not meant for pouring hot water over your tea or coffee by the way. Expanding 38.8 meters high and about 50 meters in diameter, there’s not anyone who can pick this object up to fill in a cup. This is actually an exhibition center called Wuxi Wanda, a specialized building designed to pay tribute to local customs.

It is inspired on Yixing clay objects which originated from Jiangsu in the 15th century. The building is made from aluminum sheets and panels of glazing, added with stained glass shining through the central hole. The round center is made up of block components which can be rotated into different positions. The curved area boasts of a little roller coaster, a water park and a Ferris wheel!

The center is created to resemble the flower Azalea, which can be opened and transformed on many layers.
